Edit your status page
Change the words, pictures and sections of your page, right on the page itself.
How the editor works
Open a status page in the studio. You see the page as visitors see it. Point at any part and a dark bar appears on it: its name, Edit, and Visible (who sees it). Each change is saved on its own, and an Undo button appears at the bottom for a moment.
In the studio, the dark toolbar appears when you point at a section (or tap it on a phone).
Words and pictures need verification
Because anyone can create a page for any domain, the name, tagline, description, links, logo, status card, chart text, features, testimonials, pricing, gallery, contact card and technologies only change after you verify that you own the domain. Clicking Edit on them before that shows Verify that you own … to change ….
Report buttons, services, monitoring and showing / hiding sections work without verification.
Who sees a section
| Choice | What it does | Plans |
|---|---|---|
| Show everywhere | On uptimecard.com and on your own status page address. | All |
| Only on uptimecard.com | Hidden from your own address (subdomain or custom domain), shown on uptimecard.com. | Innovator |
| Hide | Visitors don’t see it anywhere. In the editor it becomes a striped “Hidden from visitors” strip with “Show on page”. | All |
Sections you can show or hide include incidents, visitor reports, most reported problems, uptime history, components, response time, performance, about, domain & security details, related sites, the report buttons, subscribe, technologies, the showcase story and the name on the report chart. Their order is fixed.
The setup checklist
- The editor counts your progress as Page setup N/12: verify, tagline, description, status card line, logo, links, report buttons, features, pricing, a customer quote, screenshots, contact, and your own domain.
- The sample words a new page starts with do not count as done.
