  1. 2013

    Webflow started in 2013 as a tool for building websites[3]

  2. 2023

    In April 2023 Webflow announced AI tools for building sites, including prompt-based generation of elements and sections and auto-generated SEO settings. The post said they would arrive in the coming weeks and months, so this was an announcement, not a finished release.[4]

  3. 2024

    Webflow acquired Intellimize in April 2024, a personalization and conversion rate optimization platform. Webflow planned to bring AI-driven personalization and experimentation into its own platform.[5][6]

  4. 2025

    At Webflow Conf in September 2025 Webflow announced a reworked AI Assistant, code generation for web apps and a next-generation CMS. These were announcements, with some features still to come.[7]
