Wallarm down?

Wallarm is an API security and web application protection platform. It discovers all APIs across an organisation's environment, including shadow and zombie APIs, detects sensitive data exposure and vulnerabilities, and protects web applications and APIs against OWASP Top 10 attacks, bots, account takeover and abuse in real time. Wallarm supports REST, GraphQL, gRPC and WebSocket, deploys in the cloud, on premises or as a hybrid, and integrates with gateways and Kubernetes. Security and DevOps teams use it to secure modern applications end to end.

Overview: A scale-up SaaS platform that pairs modern frontend engineering with aggressive marketing operations and observability.

What stands out

  • Recruitee indicates ongoing hiring, likely for cybersecurity and sales teams.
  • Using Varnish in addition to Cloudflare suggests high cacheability and serious performance budgets.
  • Combining HubSpot and Webflow points to a strong growth team running targeted landing pages.
  • Sentry and Amplitude show a data-driven approach to product reliability and engagement.

Technologies wallarm.com uses

  • Varnish — Origin HTTP cache speeds up response times for dynamic pages, reducing load on backend servers.
  • React — JavaScript UI library powering the main web app.
  • Cloudflare — CDN and DNS layer with edge security.
  • jQuery — Legacy helper scripts from third-party integrations.
  • core-js — Polyfills for modern JS features.
  • Amplitude — User behavior analytics tracks feature adoption and product usage, informing retention and engagement strategies.
  • Vimeo — Hosts product explainer and demo videos embedded in marketing pages for high-quality streaming.
  • Webpack — Bundles compiled React modules into assets.
  • Webflow — Visual site builder powers marketing and content pages, letting the team iterate without engineering involvement.
  • HSTS — Forces secure HTTPS connections.
  • Open Graph — Metadata for social sharing previews.
  • HubSpot — CRM and marketing automation captures leads, tracks the funnel, and supports inbound strategy.
  • Google Hosted Libraries — Loads popular libraries like jQuery from Google's CDN to improve cache hit rate and decrease latency.
  • Sentry — Error and performance monitoring gives developers insight into frontend crashes and API issues.
  • Google Font API — Loads web fonts for brand typography.
  • Google Analytics — Audience and traffic measurement.
  • Unpkg — Serves individual npm packages via CDN, likely for small utilities that don't require bundling.
  • Recruitee — Applicant tracking system for managing open positions and candidate pipelines, signaling investment in scaling hiring.

How these technologies work together

  • Google Hosted Libraries requires jQuery — jQuery is loaded from Google's hosted libraries, making the CDN a prerequisite for legacy scripts.
  • React requires Webpack — React source is transpiled and bundled by webpack into static assets, making webpack fundamental to the app's deployment.
  • React integrates with Sentry — Sentry's React SDK reports component errors and health metrics, connecting frontend exceptions to actionable diagnostics.
  • Cloudflare works alongside Varnish — Cloudflare accelerates static assets at the edge while Varnish caches dynamic content at the origin server.
  • HubSpot integrates with Webflow — Webflow forms push prospects to HubSpot, automating lead capture and marketing follow-up workflows.
  • Amplitude integrates with React — Amplitude's SDK sends user interactions within React components to behavioral analytics for product teams.
  • core-js requires Webpack — Webpack includes core-js polyfills into the generated bundle for broad browser support.
  • Open Graph integrates with Webflow — Webflow manages Open Graph tags across pages, enabling rich previews when links are shared.
  • Cloudflare works alongside HSTS — Cloudflare serves the site with HSTS headers, forcing secure connections and reinforcing the security-first brand.
  • Vimeo integrates with Webflow — Vimeo embeds within Webflow landing pages, delivering product demos that help explain the security platform.

How to fix Wallarm not working

Wallarm protects APIs and web applications. It finds the APIs an organisation runs, watches for attacks and abuse, and blocks malicious traffic. Security and DevOps teams use it. Find your symptom below. Do not turn off a protection rule to get a legitimate request through without checking it first, since a rule can be protecting the system.

Jump to what you are seeing

Website Down

The Wallarm website or console does not load for you.

  1. Open the page in a private window and on another network.
  2. Check status.wallarm.com for an active incident.
  3. If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.

Login Failed

Sign-in is refused. Check you are using the account your team set up, such as single sign-on.

  1. Use the sign-in route your company set up.
  2. If the message says the password is wrong, reset it and check spam.
  3. Ask your administrator to confirm your user has access to the application you protect.

API Down

Calls to the Wallarm API fail or time out.

  1. Check the status code. A 401 or 403 means the token or permission is wrong, a 429 means too many calls, and a 5xx means a platform-side problem.
  2. Confirm the token has not been revoked or changed.
  3. Retry with a growing delay, and check this status page if several calls fail together.

Console Unresponsive

The console is slow, or a page stops responding.

  1. Reload in a private window with extensions turned off.
  2. Shorten the date range on any report you are viewing.
  3. If it stays unresponsive, check the status page and send the page name and the time to support.

Filtering Issues

A legitimate request is blocked, or an attack is not blocked as expected.

  1. Check the request in the event log, and read the rule that matched it.
  2. If a real user is blocked, allow that one case through a narrow rule rather than switching the filter off.
  3. Ask your security administrator to review the rule before you change it, and record the change.

Analytics Delayed

Traffic and security analytics show old data.

  1. Check the date range and the application selected.
  2. Allow time for the newest traffic to be processed.
  3. Check the data source is still sending traffic to the platform.

Still not working?

If it still does not work, contact your security administrator first, since they manage the protected applications and rules. For a platform-wide problem, contact Wallarm support through the help option in the console or on wallarm.com. Have your organisation name, the application or API name, the exact error text, the event ID if there is one, and the time it started with your time zone. Never send tokens, keys or request contents that contain personal data in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.wallarm.com.

Most API-protection problems come from a rule that is too broad, a token or a data delay, and they usually clear once that one rule or setting is reviewed. The status page shows live platform incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Wallarm's side.
