Overview: A data-driven B2B SaaS marketing stack built on AWS edge delivery and HubSpot CRM, with granular ad conversion tracking for high-value energy trading leads.
What stands out
- DoubleClick Floodlight on a niche SaaS site indicates heavy investment in account-based advertising and precise ROI measurement.
- CookieBot plus GTM suggests a carefully managed consent framework, essential for selling to European energy clients under GDPR.
- CloudFront, S3, and ACM all under AWS show a lean static marketing site with enterprise-grade performance and security.
Technologies molecule.io uses
- AWS Certificate Manager — Provides SSL/TLS certificates for CloudFront and AWS endpoints, signaling AWS-native security setup.
- Amazon S3 — Stores website assets, whitepapers, and logo files that CloudFront distributes.
- DoubleClick Floodlight — Tracks paid campaign conversions and remarketing for high-value B2B SaaS leads, revealing serious ad spend in a niche market.
- Google Analytics — Tracks overall site traffic and user behavior.
- Amazon CloudFront — CDN accelerates delivery of marketing pages, docs, and static assets to global commodity trading users.
- HubSpot Analytics — Tracks page views, form submissions, and lead behavior inside HubSpot CRM to feed sales pipeline.
- Cookiebot — Manages GDPR/ePrivacy consent for global enterprise visitors, required for European energy clients.
- Font Awesome — Supplies scalable icons for UI elements on marketing and app pages, reducing custom design effort.
- HubSpot — Hosts landing pages, forms, and CRM workflows central to inbound marketing and lead qualification.
- Amazon Web Services — Hosts core web infrastructure and static assets for scalable delivery.
- jQuery — Powers interactive UI elements on legacy and template pages.
- Google Tag Manager — Deploys all marketing tags centrally without developer edits.
How these technologies work together
- Amazon CloudFront runs on Amazon S3 — CloudFront caches and serves assets stored in S3, reducing latency for global visitors.
- Amazon CloudFront requires AWS Certificate Manager — ACM issues and renews certificates attached to CloudFront distributions, ensuring HTTPS for all cached content.
- HubSpot runs on HubSpot Analytics — HubSpot Analytics runs inside the HubSpot platform, tracking leads and page performance within the CRM.
- Google Analytics integrates with Google Tag Manager — GA tag is deployed through GTM, simplifying event tracking and versioning without direct code edits.
- Cookiebot integrates with Google Tag Manager — Cookiebot signals GTM to block or fire analytics and marketing tags based on visitor consent.
- DoubleClick Floodlight integrates with Google Tag Manager — GTM fires Floodlight tags for conversion tracking and audience building without hard-coded pixels.
- Cookiebot integrates with DoubleClick Floodlight — Floodlight cannot lawfully track EU visitors until Cookiebot confirms advertising cookie consent.
- Amazon CloudFront runs on Amazon Web Services — CloudFront is an AWS edge service delivering assets from the same AWS ecosystem.
- HubSpot works alongside jQuery — jQuery enables accordions, modals, and form interactivity in HubSpot CMS templates.
- Font Awesome works alongside HubSpot — HubSpot CMS templates use Font Awesome for consistent UI icons across landing pages and forms.

How to fix Molecule not working
Molecule runs trade capture, valuation, risk and settlement for energy and commodity trading teams, so a fault can stop a working day. Most problems come from one of four places: your sign-in, the market data feeds, the reports and trade records, or the platform itself. Match your symptom below and work down its list.
Jump to what you are seeing
Website Down
The Molecule site or sign-in page does not load for you. That is often a network or firewall problem on your side, or a platform incident.
- Open the page in a private window, then try a second network or your phone's mobile data. If it loads there, your office network or firewall is the cause, and your IT team needs to allow Molecule's address.
- Check status.molecule.io for an active incident. If one is shown, the fix is on Molecule's side and you can wait for the update.
- If several colleagues are affected at the same time, note the time and tell your Molecule contact.
Login Failed
Your sign-in is refused. Trading firms often sign in through a company login, so the failure can come from your firm's identity setup rather than your password.
- Read the exact message. A wrong-password message means you should reset your password. A message about access or permissions means your administrator must check your user rights.
- If your firm uses single sign-on, confirm your company account works first, then sign in through the company route rather than a separate password.
- Use a private window so an old session or saved password does not interfere.
- Ask an administrator in your firm to confirm your user is active and has access to the Molecule environment you need.
Data Not Syncing
Market data, positions or trades are not updating on screen. Usually a feed or a connection to an outside source has stopped. The data itself is not necessarily lost.
- Check the time of the last update on the screen you are looking at. An old timestamp means the feed has stopped. A current one means the problem is on a different screen.
- Check whether only one data source is affected. A single source usually points to that provider's feed or its connection settings.
- Ask your administrator whether a scheduled import or an integration with your trading or back-office system has paused or failed.
- Do not re-enter trades by hand to force a sync until your administrator has confirmed the status. A double entry is harder to clean up than a delay.
API Error
A call from your own system or an integration to the Molecule API returns an error code.
- A 401 or 403 means the credentials are wrong or do not have permission for that action. Check that the token has not expired and that its user has the right access.
- A 429 means too many calls. Wait, then retry with a growing delay instead of repeating the call at once.
- A 5xx means a problem on the service side. Check the status page before changing your code.
- Write down the exact status code, the endpoint and the time of the call so the support team can trace it.
Report Generation Failed
A risk, profit and loss or settlement report stops before it finishes. Common reasons are a very wide date range, one position with a missing input, or a gap in the data.
- Run the report again for a shorter date range, or for one commodity or book at a time, to find the part that fails.
- Check that every position in the period has its price, currency and counterparty filled in. One blank field can stop a whole run.
- If the report worked yesterday and fails today, look at Data Not Syncing first. A stale price feed is a common cause.
- If a smaller run also fails, send the report name, the date range and the exact error to support.
Trade Capture Error
A trade cannot be saved. The message usually names the field that is wrong, such as the price, quantity, delivery period or counterparty.
- Read the error text, which normally names the field. Correct that field and submit again.
- Check that the instrument, delivery period and unit of measure match the contract you are booking.
- If a credit limit is involved, check the counterparty and book are within their limit. Your administrator can confirm the limit.
- Save the trade details somewhere safe before you retry, so nothing is lost if the page closes.
Still not working?
If the problem continues, contact Molecule support through the help option inside the platform or on molecule.io. Have ready the exact error message, the trade or report reference, the time it started with your time zone, and how many users are affected. Live incident updates are on status.molecule.io.
Most problems on a trading platform are resolved quickly, often by an administrator adjusting a setting or a feed. This page updates live, so you can see when the service is back.
