How to fix Netskope not working
Netskope provides a cloud security platform that inspects web and cloud traffic and controls access to applications and data. Network and security administrators manage it, and staff connect through its client. Find your symptom below. Do not turn off the security client to get a site working without your security team's approval.

Connection Failed
The Netskope client cannot connect, so traffic does not go through the platform.
- Check the device has internet access without the client, to confirm the device itself is online.
- Check the client is running and shows its connection state.
- Restart the client, then check the connection again.
- If it still fails, send the device name, the client version and the time to your security administrator.
Website Down
A website does not load through the platform, while other sites work.
- Check the site loads from another network. If it does, the block is in the platform's policy, not the site.
- Ask your security administrator whether a policy is blocking that site, and give them the address.
- Do not change the policy yourself.
Login Failed
Sign-in to the platform console or to a protected app is refused.
- If the message says the password is wrong, reset it through your company's sign-in and check spam.
- Check you are using the company sign-in route, such as single sign-on.
- Ask your administrator to confirm your access.
Slow Performance
Web pages or cloud apps load slowly while the platform is in use.
- Check whether the slowness is on one site or all sites.
- Check your own connection speed without the client.
- Report the site name, the time and the location to your administrator, who can check the route.
Cloud App Access
A cloud app blocks you, or it shows an access message.
- Read the access message. It usually names the policy that blocked the app.
- Check whether the app is approved for your work by your company's policy.
- Ask your administrator to review the policy if the app is needed for your work.
API Issues
Calls from a system through the platform fail or return an error.
- Check the status code. A 401 or 403 means the credentials or permission are wrong, a 429 means too many calls, and a 5xx means a platform-side problem.
- Confirm the credentials have not been changed or revoked.
- Retry with a growing delay, and check this status page if several calls fail together.
Traffic Steering
Traffic does not follow the expected route, or it is sent to the wrong location.
- Check the steering rule for that traffic, since an earlier rule can catch the traffic first.
- Check the device's location and network settings match the steering rule.
- Ask your administrator to check the rule and the route for that location.
Analytics
Reports show no data, or they show figures that look out of date.
- Check the date range and the filter for the users or locations.
- Allow time for the newest traffic to appear in the reports.
- If the reports stay empty, send the report name and dates to your administrator.
Still not working?
If it still does not work, contact your security administrator first, since they manage policies and devices. For a platform-wide problem, contact Netskope support through the help option in the console or on netskope.com. Have your organisation name, the device name, the client version, the exact error text, and the time it started with your time zone. Never send passwords or security keys in a support message. Live incident updates are on trust.netskope.com.
Most security-platform problems come from a policy, a client that needs a restart or a sign-in step, and they usually clear once that is reviewed. The status page shows live platform incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Netskope's side.
