Overview: A WordPress marketing front end accelerated by Redis object caching and AWS CloudFront, reflecting a performance- and security-conscious B2B SaaS platform.
What stands out
- Uses Redis object caching on a WordPress marketing site, an uncommon combination that prioritizes page speed for technical audiences.
- Leverages AWS CloudFront and Certificate Manager for global content delivery and HTTPS, aligning with a security vendor's trust requirements.
- Includes LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Tag Manager to capture B2B demand from enterprise security buyers.
- RankMath SEO signals aggressive organic search strategy for high-intent application security queries.
Technologies mend.io uses
- AWS Certificate Manager — Manages TLS certificates for HTTPS on CloudFront, ensuring secure access to the platform.
- Amazon CloudFront — CDN caches static assets and accelerates global delivery of security content and API documentation.
- Nginx — web server and reverse proxy for WordPress and API endpoints.
- WordPress — CMS for marketing and documentation site.
- Linkedin Insight Tag — B2B ad tracking for enterprise security leads.
- Amazon Web Services — hosting infrastructure for the site and related services.
- Redis Object Cache — WordPress plugin connects Redis to WP object cache, reducing database load for high-traffic marketing pages.
- Redis — In-memory cache speeds up dynamic application security content and API responses for Mend's platform.
- RankMath SEO — SEO plugin optimizes content for search visibility, capturing security-conscious developers searching for supply chain solutions.
- PHP — server-side language powering WordPress site.
- MySQL — primary relational database for WordPress content and user data.
- HSTS — enforces HTTPS connections.
- Google Tag Manager — tag management for analytics and marketing pixels.
How these technologies work together
- Redis requires Redis Object Cache — The plugin requires Redis as in-memory datastore to cache WordPress objects, cutting MySQL load and page load times.
- PHP requires WordPress — WordPress is built in PHP and requires a PHP runtime to generate pages dynamically for each visitor.
- RankMath SEO runs on WordPress — RankMath SEO plugin optimizes metadata, sitemaps, and schema on WordPress, improving organic search visibility for security solutions.
- Redis Object Cache runs on WordPress — Redis Object Cache is a WordPress plugin that offloads object caching to Redis, speeding up database-driven pages.
- Amazon CloudFront runs on Amazon Web Services — CloudFront is an AWS edge service that caches content globally, reducing origin load and latency for visitors.
- MySQL requires WordPress — WordPress stores all content, user data, and settings in MySQL, making it essential for CMS operation.
- HSTS integrates with Nginx — nginx sends the HSTS header with every response, forcing browsers to use HTTPS and preventing downgrade attacks.
- Amazon CloudFront requires AWS Certificate Manager — AWS Certificate Manager issues and renews SSL/TLS certificates for CloudFront distributions, enabling HTTPS for the custom domain.
- Amazon Web Services runs on Nginx — nginx runs on AWS compute instances, providing a reverse proxy layer for the site's frontend and APIs.
- Nginx runs on WordPress — nginx serves PHP requests for WordPress, handling concurrency, static files, and TLS termination in front of the CMS.
- Amazon CloudFront integrates with Nginx — CloudFront proxies requests to nginx origin, caching static assets and shielding the origin from traffic spikes.
- Google Tag Manager integrates with Linkedin Insight Tag — Google Tag Manager loads LinkedIn Insight Tag, enabling B2B ad retargeting and conversion tracking for enterprise prospects.

How to fix Mend not working
Mend.io helps development and security teams find and fix risks in open-source packages, in their own code, and in AI-generated code. Its tools include software composition analysis, static code scanning, container security, and the Renovate tool for dependency updates. Teams use it through a web dashboard and connections to their code and build systems. Find your symptom below. Most problems come from a sign-in, a connection setting, a scan setting, or the service itself.
Jump to what you are seeing
Website Down
The Mend website does not load for you.
- Open the page in a private window and on another network.
- Check status.mend.io for an active incident.
- If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.
Login Failed
Sign-in is refused.
- If the message says the password is wrong, reset it and check spam.
- Check you are using the sign-in route your organisation set up.
- Try a private window to rule out an old session.
Scan Failed
A scan does not start, or it finishes with an error.
- Open the scan's log and read the first error.
- Check the access the scan uses to your repository has not expired or been removed.
- Run the scan again once the access is fixed. If it still fails, check the status page.
API Down
Calls to the Mend API fail or time out.
- Check the status code. An access error usually means the token or permission is wrong, too many calls means you should slow down, and a server error means a platform-side problem.
- Confirm the token has not expired and is for the right organisation.
- Retry with a growing delay, and check status.mend.io if several calls fail together.
Dashboard Slow
The dashboard loads slowly, or it times out on large projects.
- Narrow the filter to one project or one date range.
- Try a private window with extensions turned off.
- If it is slow for everyone, check the status page.
Integration Error
A connected code or build tool stops sending results or updates.
- Check the integration is still connected, and that its access token has not expired.
- Check the app or webhook permission in your code platform.
- Trigger one test event and check the result appears before you rely on the link.
Still not working?
If it still does not work, contact your Mend administrator first, since they manage projects, integrations and access. For a platform-wide problem, contact Mend support through the help option in the dashboard or on the Mend website. Have your organisation name, the project or integration name, the scan ID if you have one, the exact error text, and the time it started with your time zone. Never send tokens or source code in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.mend.io.
Most security-scanning problems come from an access token, an integration setting or a scan log error, and they usually clear once that is corrected. The status page shows live incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Mend's side.
