How to fix Pexa not working
PEXA runs the electronic lodgement and settlement network for property transactions in Australia. Conveyancers, lenders and banks use its workspace to sign documents and settle property transfers. Find your symptom below. Most problems come from a sign-in, a digital certificate or identity check, a settlement setting, or the platform itself. Do not change settlement details until you have confirmed the status with the other parties.

Login Failed
Sign-in is refused.
- If the password is refused, reset it through the official route and check spam.
- Check your digital certificate is current and that your browser recognises it.
- Try a private window to rule out an old session.
Website Down
The PEXA website does not load for you.
- Open the page in a private window and on another network.
- Check status.pexa.com.au for an active incident.
- If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.
Settlement Issues
A settlement does not progress, or it shows an error.
- Read the message on the settlement, which usually names the step that is holding it.
- Check with the other parties before making any change, so the transfer stays in step.
- Check status.pexa.com.au, and report the workspace reference and the time.
Document Signing
A document cannot be signed, or the signature does not save.
- Check you are signed in as the right party, and that your certificate is valid.
- Reload the document, and sign it again once.
- Check status.pexa.com.au, and report the document name and the time.
Workspace Loading
The workspace stays blank, or it does not show your transactions.
- Reload in a private window, and try another browser.
- Check you have access to that workspace and its transaction.
- Check status.pexa.com.au, and report the workspace reference and the time.
API Error
Calls to the PEXA API fail or return an error.
- Check the status code. An access error usually means the credentials are wrong, too many calls means you should slow down, and a server error means a service-side problem.
- Confirm the credentials have not been revoked and are for the right environment.
- Retry with a growing delay, and check status.pexa.com.au if several calls fail together.
Still not working?
Contact your organisation's PEXA administrator or your settlement lead first, since they manage workspace access and certificates. For a platform-wide problem, contact PEXA support through the help option on its website. Have your organisation name, the workspace or settlement reference, the exact error text, and the time with your time zone. Never send passwords, certificate files or personal identity details in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.pexa.com.au.
Most settlement-platform problems come from a certificate, a sign-in or a step waiting on another party, and they usually clear once that is checked. The status page shows live incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on PEXA's side.
