Overview: A conversion-focused WordPress marketing site enhanced by Elementor, WP Rocket, and referral tracking, complemented by a Node.js/Marko-powered product interface.

What stands out

  • Separates marketing CMS (WordPress) from product UI (Marko/Node.js), indicating a mature engineering organization with distinct frontend teams.
  • Heavily optimized for performance and lead generation through caching, page builder addons, and social referral plugins.

Technologies hiverhq.com uses

  • Nginx — High-performance web server and reverse proxy handling traffic and HTTPS.
  • Social Snowball — Tracks referral and affiliate conversions, used to incentivize word-of-mouth for subscription growth.
  • WordPress — CMS for marketing content, blogs, and landing pages.
  • ElementsKit — Extends Elementor with advanced widgets and templates, enabling complex, polished landing pages without custom code.
  • Elementor — Lets marketing team build and iterate on landing pages visually, reducing reliance on developers.
  • Amazon Web Services — Provides scalable cloud infrastructure for hosting and related resources.
  • Marko — Powers fast, server-rendered UI for the product, reflecting an engineering focus on interactive customer support experiences.
  • Node.js — Runtime for Marko and backend services supporting the product frontend.
  • wp.cloud — Managed WordPress hosting tuned for WordPress, ensuring uptime, scaling, and platform-specific hardening.
  • WP Rocket — Caches WordPress pages to maximize speed and Core Web Vitals, improving SEO and landing page conversion.
  • reCAPTCHA — Protects forms from spam and abuse.
  • PHP — Executes WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
  • MySQL — Stores WordPress content and settings in a relational database.
  • HSTS — Enforces HTTPS connections to protect user data.

How these technologies work together

  • Elementor requires WordPress — Elementor is a WordPress plugin that cannot run without WordPress, powering all visual landing pages.
  • PHP requires WordPress — WordPress executes on PHP, making PHP essential for all dynamic content generation.
  • MySQL requires WordPress — WordPress relies on MySQL to store posts, pages, user metadata, and plugin configurations.
  • Marko requires Node.js — Marko is a Node.js library, so the custom product frontend depends on Node.js for server-side rendering.
  • Elementor integrates with ElementsKit — ElementsKit extends Elementor with extra widgets and templates, deepening the site's visual customization capabilities.
  • WordPress runs on wp.cloud — WP Cloud provides WordPress-specific hosting, so the CMS runs on an infrastructure tuned for its needs.
  • WordPress integrates with WP Rocket — WP Rocket optimizes WordPress page delivery by caching and minifying assets, reducing load time for visitors.
  • Amazon Web Services runs on Nginx — Nginx runs on AWS compute resources, using Amazon's cloud for elastic scaling and network reliability.
  • Social Snowball integrates with WordPress — Social Snowball operates as a WordPress plugin to manage affiliate links and track referred subscription signups.
  • Nginx runs on WordPress — Nginx serves WordPress traffic and proxies PHP requests, handling high concurrency and static assets.
  • HSTS integrates with Nginx — Nginx sends the HSTS header to force browsers to use HTTPS, securing all connections.
  • Elementor integrates with reCAPTCHA — Elementor forms integrate Google reCAPTCHA to block spam submissions on landing page contact forms.

How to fix Hiver not working

Hiver is a shared-inbox tool that works inside Gmail, so a team can share support and sales inboxes without leaving their email. Support, sales and operations teams use it. Find your symptom below. Most problems come from the Gmail extension, the email connection, a shared inbox setting, or the platform itself.

Jump to what you are seeing

Extension Not Loading

The Hiver panel does not appear in Gmail, or it stays blank.

  1. Reload Gmail, then check the Hiver extension is switched on in your browser.
  2. Update the extension to the latest version.
  3. Try Gmail in a private window with other extensions turned off, to see whether another extension is blocking Hiver.
  4. If it still does not load, send the browser name and version to support.

Email Sync Failed

Emails in a shared inbox do not arrive in Hiver, or they arrive late.

  1. Check the shared inbox is still connected to Gmail, and that its permission has not been removed.
  2. Check the emails are in the folder or label Hiver is set to watch.
  3. Allow a few minutes for the sync, then check again.
  4. If it keeps failing, reconnect the inbox and send the inbox name and the time to support.

Website Down

The Hiver website or admin page does not load for you.

  1. Open the page in a private window and on another network.
  2. Check status.hiverhq.com for an active incident.
  3. If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.

Mobile App Down

The mobile app does not open, or it does not show shared inboxes.

  1. Close the app and open it again, and check the phone has a connection.
  2. Update the app from your app store.
  3. Sign out and back in. If the web version works but the app does not, report it with your phone model and app version.

Login Failed

Sign-in is refused. Check you are using the Google account your team uses with Hiver.

  1. Make sure you are signed in to the right Google account in that browser.
  2. Clear the site data for Hiver, or use a private window, and sign in again.
  3. Ask your administrator to confirm your user is added to the shared inbox.

Shared Inbox Error

A shared inbox shows an error, or a conversation cannot be assigned.

  1. Check the person you are assigning to is a member of that inbox.
  2. Refresh the inbox, since a conversation may already have been assigned.
  3. If an action fails, note the conversation and the time, and send them to your administrator.

Analytics Not Updating

Reports show old figures, or a new conversation is missing from the numbers.

  1. Check the date range and the inbox filter.
  2. Allow time for the report to include the newest conversations.
  3. If the figures stay old, send the report name and the dates to support.

Still not working?

If it still does not work, contact your Hiver administrator first, since they manage inboxes and users. For a platform-wide problem, contact Hiver support through the help option in the app or on hiverhq.com. Have your Google workspace or account name, the shared inbox name, the browser and version, the exact error text, and the time it started with your time zone. Do not send customer emails in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.hiverhq.com.

Most shared-inbox problems come from a Gmail extension, an inbox connection or a permission, and they usually clear once that is corrected. The status page shows live platform incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Hiver's side.
