How to fix Azupay not working

Azupay provides instant bank payments in Australia through PayID, PayTo and the New Payments Platform. Businesses use its APIs to accept bank payments, set up recurring agreements and send payouts. Find your symptom below. This guide covers access and technical problems only. Never share API keys, bank login details or account numbers in a support message.

Jump to what you are seeing

Payment Failed

A bank payment is rejected, or it does not complete.

  1. Read the rejection reason in your dashboard or the API response. It usually names the field or the limit.
  2. Check the payer's bank and the amount are within what the payment method allows.
  3. Check the payment status before you ask the customer to pay again, so they are not charged twice.

Website Down

The Azupay website does not load for you.

  1. Open the page in a private window and on another network.
  2. Check status.azupay.com.au for an active incident.
  3. If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.

Login Failed

Sign-in is refused.

  1. If the message says the password is wrong, reset it and check spam.
  2. Check you are using the account your business set up.
  3. Try a private window to rule out an old session.

API Down

Calls to the Azupay API fail or time out.

  1. Check the status code. An access error usually means the key is wrong, too many calls means you should slow down, and a server error means a service-side problem.
  2. Confirm the key has not been revoked and is for the right environment.
  3. Retry with a growing delay, and check status.azupay.com.au if several calls fail together.

PayID Issues

A PayID does not resolve, or a payment to it is not recognised.

  1. Check the PayID is typed exactly, and that its type, such as email or phone, is right.
  2. Check the PayID is registered with a bank and has not been changed or closed.
  3. Check status.azupay.com.au, then ask the payer to check the PayID with their bank.

Dashboard Error

The dashboard shows an error, or it does not update.

  1. Reload in a private window with extensions turned off.
  2. Check the date range and filters.
  3. Note the error text and the time, and send them to your administrator.

QR Code Error

A payment QR code does not scan, or it shows the wrong amount.

  1. Generate the code again, and check the amount and reference before you show it.
  2. Check the code has not expired, and that the screen is bright enough to scan.
  3. Test one code with your own bank app before you show it to customers.

Settlement Delay

Funds from payments have not reached your account on the expected day.

  1. Check the settlement report for the payment's status and the expected settlement date.
  2. Check the bank account details on your Azupay account are correct.
  3. Check status.azupay.com.au, then contact support with the settlement reference and the date.

Still not working?

Contact your Azupay account manager first, or your developer if you use the API. For a platform-wide problem, contact Azupay support through the help option on the Azupay website. Have your business name, the payment, PayID or settlement reference, the exact error text, and the time with your time zone. Never send bank login details, account numbers or API keys in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.azupay.com.au.

Most instant-payment problems come from a payer's bank, a PayID detail or a settings value, and they usually clear once that is checked. The status page shows live incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Azupay's side.
