Axiom down?

Axiom is a cloud-native data platform for logs, events and telemetry, designed for observability and analytics at massive scale. It ingests, stores and queries event data efficiently using a highly compressed serverless architecture, allowing teams to retain all their data at low cost. Axiom provides a powerful query language, dashboards, monitors and alerts, and integrations with Vercel, OpenTelemetry, Cloudflare and other tools. Developers and engineering teams use Axiom to debug applications, monitor systems and analyse usage.

Overview: A lean, engineering-led headless marketing stack where developer-grade tooling signals the same serverless, composable philosophy the product sells.

What stands out

  • Base UI's sub-0.5% adoption is a deliberate early-adopter bet, hinting the team prefers building its own design system over buying one.
  • Storyblok plus Vercel decouples marketing content velocity from the product's release cycle, typical of open-source infrastructure companies.
  • Analytics are routed through GTM with a LinkedIn pixel attached, indicating a paid B2B demand-gen motion aimed at enterprise data teams.
  • The absence of a marketing automation suite or chat vendor suggests either a product-led funnel or an in-house build on top of this stack.

Technologies axiom.co uses

  • Storyblok — Headless CMS lets marketing ship pages without tying content to Axiom's serverless product codebase.
  • Google Analytics — Standard traffic and funnel measurement for a subscription funnel.
  • Tailwind CSS — Utility CSS matches the developer-first culture and pairs naturally with headless component primitives.
  • Vercel — Edge hosting with instant previews suits a cloud-native, serverless company selling the same infrastructure ethos.
  • Linkedin Insight Tag — LinkedIn pixel signals B2B demand-gen targeting the business services and enterprise data buyers.
  • Base UI — Early-adopter choice of unstyled React primitives shows an engineering-led team that prizes custom design control over prebuilt UI kits.
  • HSTS — Baseline transport hardening, expected of a security-focused vendor.
  • Google Tag Manager — Single container orchestrating all marketing and analytics tags.

How these technologies work together

  • Google Analytics requires Google Tag Manager — GA measurement is deployed and version-controlled through the GTM container rather than hardcoded, so tracking changes ship without engineering releases.
  • Base UI works alongside Tailwind CSS — Base UI ships unstyled primitives that Tailwind utilities skin into a bespoke design system without a component library.
  • Storyblok integrates with Tailwind CSS — Storyblok blocks map directly onto Tailwind-styled components, so editors compose pages from the same design tokens developers use.
  • Google Tag Manager runs on Linkedin Insight Tag — The LinkedIn conversion tag fires from GTM, letting demand-gen attribute campaign spend to pipeline alongside GA events.
  • Storyblok runs on Vercel — Storyblok content is served through Vercel's edge with preview deployments, giving marketers fast publishing and instant review.
  • Base UI integrates with Storyblok — CMS-authored blocks render through Base UI primitives, keeping interactive docs and forms accessible without clashing with editorial content.
  • HSTS runs on Vercel — HSTS is inherited from Vercel's platform defaults, a security posture consistent with the vendor's own trust narrative.

How to fix Axiom not working

Axiom is a data platform for logs, events and telemetry. Engineering teams send data to it, query it, and build dashboards, monitors and alerts from it. Find your symptom below. Most problems come from an API token or ingest setting, a query that is too large, a sign-in, or the platform itself. Check the status page before you change a monitor that pages people.

Jump to what you are seeing

Dashboard Down

The Axiom dashboard does not load, or it shows no data.

  1. Reload in a private window, and check you are in the right organisation and dataset.
  2. Check status.axiom.co for an incident.
  3. If the dashboard stays down, check your data is still arriving through another view or your own tools.

Data Ingestion Failed

Logs or events are not reaching Axiom.

  1. Check the ingest token is current, and that it has permission to write to the dataset.
  2. Read the sender's error output, which usually shows the rejected field or status code.
  3. Check status.axiom.co, then send one test event to confirm.

Querying Failed

A query returns no data, times out, or shows an error.

  1. Narrow the time range and the fields you query.
  2. Check the query syntax, and that the dataset and field names exist.
  3. Check status.axiom.co, and retry once the query service is healthy.

API Down

Calls to the Axiom API fail or time out.

  1. Check the status code. An access error usually means the token is wrong, too many calls means you should slow down, and a server error means a service-side problem.
  2. Confirm the token has not expired and is for the right organisation.
  3. Retry with a growing delay, and check status.axiom.co if several calls fail together.

Login Failed

Sign-in is refused.

  1. If the message says the password is wrong, reset it and check spam.
  2. Use the sign-in route your team set up, such as GitHub or single sign-on.
  3. Try a private window to rule out an old session.

Alerts Not Firing

A monitor or alert does not trigger when its condition is met.

  1. Check the monitor is switched on, and its query and threshold are correct.
  2. Check the data the monitor uses is arriving on time, and the time window is right.
  3. Check status.axiom.co, and test the alert with a sample event before you rely on it.

Slow Performance

Dashboards and queries are slow to respond.

  1. Narrow the time range, and remove any wide, unfiltered queries.
  2. Try again at a quieter time of day.
  3. If it is slow for everyone, check status.axiom.co.

Still not working?

Contact your team's Axiom administrator, or the engineer who owns the dataset, first. For a platform-wide problem, contact Axiom support through the help option in the platform or on its website. Have your organisation name, the dataset name, the query or monitor name, the exact error text, and the time with your time zone. Never send API tokens or log contents that include personal data in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.axiom.co.

Most observability problems come from an ingest token, a query range or a monitor setting, and they usually clear once that is checked. The status page shows live incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Axiom's side.
