Rivery down?

Rivery, now part of Boomi, is a SaaS data integration platform that helps data teams build ELT pipelines. It provides hundreds of managed connectors to databases and SaaS applications, change data capture replication, orchestration, transformations using SQL and Python, and reverse ETL to push data back into business applications. Rivery also offers pre-built data workflow templates called kits and AI features to accelerate development. Companies use Rivery to consolidate data into warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks.

How to fix Rivery not working

Rivery is a data integration and transformation platform. Data teams use it to build pipelines that move data from source systems into warehouses, and to schedule and monitor those pipelines. Find your symptom below. Most problems come from a sign-in, a connection or schedule setting, a pipeline step, or the platform itself. Check the pipeline's log for the first failed step before you run it again.

Jump to what you are seeing

Console Down

The Rivery console does not load, or it shows an error.

  1. Open the page in a private window and on another network.
  2. Check status.rivery.io for an active incident.
  3. If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.

Pipeline Failure

A pipeline stops, or one of its steps fails.

  1. Read the failed step's log, which usually names the cause.
  2. Check the source and the destination connections have not expired.
  3. Check status.rivery.io, and run the pipeline again once the cause is fixed.

Login Failed

Sign-in is refused.

  1. If the password is refused, reset it through the official route and check spam.
  2. Check you are using the account that owns the workspace.
  3. Try a private window to rule out an old session.

API Down

Calls to the Rivery API fail or return an error.

  1. Check the status code. An access error usually means the token is wrong, too many calls means you should slow down, and a server error means a service-side problem.
  2. Confirm the token has not been revoked and has the right permissions.
  3. Retry with a growing delay, and check status.rivery.io if several calls fail together.

Connection Error

A source or destination connection will not connect.

  1. Check the login, the address and the port for that connection are correct.
  2. Check your firewall allows the connection, and the source is reachable.
  3. Check status.rivery.io, and test the connection again.

Slow Performance

Pipelines take much longer than usual to run.

  1. Check how much data the pipeline is moving, and whether the volume has grown.
  2. Try again at a quieter time of day, or split the pipeline into smaller runs.
  3. Check status.rivery.io, and report the pipeline name and the time.

Scheduling Issues

A scheduled pipeline does not run at its time.

  1. Check the schedule and its time zone.
  2. Check the pipeline is turned on, and not paused.
  3. Check status.rivery.io, and report the pipeline name and the time it should have run.

Still not working?

Contact your organisation's Rivery administrator or your data engineer first, since they manage workspaces, pipelines and connections. For a platform-wide problem, contact Rivery support through the help option in the console or on the Rivery website. Have your workspace name, the pipeline name, the run ID, the exact error text, and the time with your time zone. Never send passwords, tokens or personal data from your datasets in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.rivery.io.

Most pipeline problems come from a connection, a schedule or a source change, and they usually clear once that is checked. The status page shows live incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Rivery's side.
