How to fix Nintex not working

Nintex is a process automation platform. Organisations use it to map processes, build workflows, generate documents, collect e-signatures and create forms, and it connects to Microsoft 365, Salesforce and other systems. Find your symptom below. Most problems come from a sign-in, a workflow step or connection, a form or template setting, or the platform itself. Check the status page before you change a workflow that many people use.

Jump to what you are seeing

Website Down

The Nintex website does not load for you.

  1. Open the page in a private window and on another network.
  2. Check status.nintex.com for an active incident.
  3. If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.

Login Failed

Sign-in is refused.

  1. Use the sign-in route your organisation set up, such as Microsoft single sign-on.
  2. If the password is refused, reset it through the official route and check spam.
  3. Try a private window to rule out an old session.

Workflow Failure

A workflow stops, or a step shows an error.

  1. Read the workflow history for the first failed step, and the error it shows.
  2. Check the people, the connections and the data that step needs are all set up.
  3. Check status.nintex.com, then restart the workflow once with a test item.

Forms Not Loading

A form does not open, or it shows blank fields.

  1. Reload in a private window, and check you have permission to open the form.
  2. Check the form is published, and that the form's data source is available.
  3. Check status.nintex.com, and report the form name and the time to your administrator.

Mobile App Down

The mobile app will not open, sign in, or show your tasks.

  1. Update the app from your app store, and restart your phone.
  2. Check your connection, and try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  3. Sign out and back in.

Integration Error

A connected system does not send or receive data for a workflow.

  1. Check the connection is active, and that its login has not expired.
  2. Check the field mapping has not changed recently.
  3. Check status.nintex.com, then run one small test before the workflow runs for many items.

API Down

Calls to the Nintex API fail or time out.

  1. Check the status code. An access error usually means the token is wrong, too many calls means you should slow down, and a server error means a service-side problem.
  2. Confirm the token has not expired and has the permission the call needs.
  3. Retry with a growing delay, and check status.nintex.com if several calls fail together.

DocGen Error

A document is not generated from a template, or the output looks wrong.

  1. Check the template's fields match the data you are sending.
  2. Check the template is published, and that it is not a draft.
  3. Generate one document to test, and check its output before you run a batch.

Still not working?

Contact your organisation's Nintex administrator or your process owner first, since they manage workflows, connections and access. For a platform-wide problem, contact Nintex support through the help option in the platform or on its website. Have your organisation name, the workflow, form or template name, the exact error text, and the time with your time zone. Never send passwords, tokens or personal data in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.nintex.com.

Most process-automation problems come from a connection login, a form setting or a workflow input, and they usually clear once that is corrected. The status page shows live incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on Nintex's side.
