How to fix Greenflux not working
GreenFlux provides smart charging software for electric vehicle chargers. Charge point operators, fleet owners and businesses use it to manage chargers, authorise drivers and handle billing. Find your symptom below. If a charger is damaged, sparking, or smells of burning, stop using it, keep people away, and contact the site operator or emergency services first.
Jump to what you are seeing
Charging Failed
A charging session does not start, stops, or does not complete.
- Check the charger shows as available, and that the cable is fully connected at both ends.
- Check the driver is authorised for that charger, and that their card or app is active.
- Stop and start the session once, and check the charger's display or app for the error.
- If it fails on one charger only, report that charger's ID and the time to the site operator.
App Not Working
The driver app does not open, does not show chargers, or cannot start a session.
- Close the app and open it again, and check the phone has a connection.
- Update the app from your app store.
- Check the app has location permission, since it needs it to show nearby chargers.
Website Down
The GreenFlux website or management portal does not load for you.
- Open the page in a private window and on another network.
- Check status.greenflux.com for an active incident.
- If only your network is affected, ask IT to check the firewall.
Payment Issues
A charging payment is declined, is still pending, or shows the wrong amount.
- Check the payment method is valid, and that the charge is not still pending.
- Check whether your bank has blocked the payment. A bank block is a decision by the bank.
- Do not start a second session to pay again until the first charge has a final status.
- If the charge is wrong, send the session ID and the time to the charge point operator or support.
API Down
Calls to the GreenFlux API fail or time out.
- Check the status code. A 401 or 403 means the key or permission is wrong, a 429 means too many calls, and a 5xx means a platform-side problem.
- Confirm the API key has not been changed or revoked.
- Retry with a growing delay, and do not start a charging session twice when you retry.
- Check status.greenflux.com if several calls fail together.
Login Failed
Sign-in to the portal is refused. Check you are using the account your operator or company set up.
- If the message says the password is wrong, reset it and check spam.
- Ask your administrator to confirm your user has access to the charge points you manage.
- Try a private window to rule out an old session.
Roaming Issues
A driver from another network cannot charge, or their session is not billed correctly.
- Check the driver's roaming agreement, and that their card or app is active on that network.
- Check the charger's network supports roaming for that provider.
- If a session was billed wrongly, send the session ID, the charger ID and the time to the operator, but not the driver's card details.
Still not working?
If it still does not work, contact the charge point operator or your fleet administrator first, since they manage the chargers. For a platform-wide problem, contact GreenFlux support through the help option on greenflux.com. Have the charger ID, the session ID, the exact error text, and the time it started with your time zone. Never send card numbers or passwords in a support message. Live incident updates are on status.greenflux.com.
Most charging problems come from a cable that is not fully connected, an authorisation or a payment detail, and they usually clear once a retry is checked. The status page shows live platform incidents, so you can see whether the problem is on GreenFlux's side.
